My Fees

I say, “You can afford a freelance writer!” and here’s what that means:

I generally quote project-based fees, and these are based on a $75-per-hour base rate. Compare that to $100-plus per hour for an agency writer. When you work with me on multiple projects, however, you will get better value from flat-fee project pricing.

Every client has different needs, and every project is unique. Let me quote on your project to show you the value you could be getting.

For E-newsletters, I offer package rates.

Package 1: Full e-newsletter management: I create and manage a full e-newsletter program for you. The $750 initial set-up fee includes consultation, template design, database set-up and test mailings.  Then, the typical range, depending on content, is $450-$700 per issue.

Package 2: Providing content only: I develop outlines and write the articles, then you insert into your e-newsletter template with graphics and distribute. Typical range for research, outline and 2-3 brief articles: $200-$400.

Package 3: Set-up assistance only: helping you set up in my preferred e-newsletter service provider, Constant Contact, including uploading e-mail list, choosing an appropriate template and providing tips on producing an effective newsletter: $250-$350.
